Cooke's Corner Leather

About Us

Veteran-owned leather craft and laser engraving, serving the Citrus County area.

Our story

The business name is a combination of a past business "New England Custom Leather" and "Cookes Corner," the business name of my dad's parents' business in Los Angeles, CA.

Bob is a veteran who served honorably in the U.S. Navy, where he developed discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail. After his military service, he and his wife Margie raised their four children in Connecticut, instilling in them the same values of faith, integrity, and hard work that guided his own life.

Now retired and living in Florida, Bob spends his days enjoying time with Margie, working on his leather craft, and actively teaching in online Christian communities. His passion for sharing God's love through scripture reaches groups around the world, where he continues to guide and encourage others in their faith.

The tools behind the craft

Every piece is cut, engraved, and finished right here in our own workshop. Two pieces of professional laser equipment power the work — a compact engraver for fine detail and a larger machine for cutting and bigger jobs.

xTool F2 compact dual-laser engraver

xTool F2

Our compact, high-speed engraving laser for fine detail work. We use it to personalize smaller items — leather goods, tumblers, business cards, jewelry, and more — with crisp, permanent marks.

Thunder Laser Thunder Bolt desktop laser engraver and cutter

Thunder Bolt

Our larger desktop laser, built for cutting and engraving bigger pieces — leather panels, wood, acrylic, and slate. It handles the heavier jobs and larger work areas our custom orders often call for.

What we can engrave

We can laser engrave on most materials — real leather, faux leather, slate, acrylic, and any powder-coated item such as tumblers — plus most metals, including business cards and jewelry.
